What's your main purpose for using Dating Apps?
I’m just in-it for the fun, I use dating apps to see what’s out there. I like sense of validation I get from seeing ‘It’s a Match!’
I go on lots of dates from Apps. I find it easy to match with a guy but I’m always wondering if there’s someone better out there.
For me, I’m looking for Mr. Right. I don’t want to waste my time and energy on someone who isn’t in it for the long term.
Have you ever deactivated/deleted your App out of frustration?
Sometimes when a guy is really annoying I consider deleting the app. Then I wonder what I’d do instead, so I just block him.
Why would I do that? It’s so convenient for meeting new guys. If I delete it then I’d need to start flirting with guys in bar/clubs and that’s not really an option at the moment.
A few times. Once I get serious with a guy I like to delete all my dating apps. And sometimes after a terrible date I’ve done it.
How much time, on average, do you spend on Dating Apps?
It really depends if I match with someone interesting or not. On average anywhere from 10-40 minutes. But this can increase if I found someone especially funny.
That’s a difficult question, I’m always chatting to so many people the time flies by. There’s so many guys out there and not enough time in the day.
I try to limit my time on dating apps. I only use them while I’m doing something else, like watching netflix, waiting for a friend or having lunch. I prefer to spend my time working on myself and my hobbies.
Have you tried looking for a meaningful relationship on a dating app?
Not really. If I actually meet guys, we end up talking about other things. I’ve found lots of creative men on there and we’ve met up for work opportunities. It’s been really invaluable because of that.
Not yet. I like to keep my options open. It’s a numbers game, the more dates I go on the better my chances are at finding someone.
That’s all I want, I just wish the men I met wanted that too. Even though I try to get to know them before we meet, they end up letting me down.
